Our client is a market-leading, family-owned chemical manufacturing business that has been trading successfully for 60 years.  They are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Production Planner/Manager to join their dedicated team in a pivotal leadership role. 

In this role you will have full responsibility for day-to-day operations, production planning, staff supervision, and troubleshooting, ensuring the smooth running of all production activities.

This is a demanding role requiring a proven track record in leadership, planning, and production management within a manufacturing, chemical, or FMCG environment. You will be responsible for a broad range of tasks in the following key areas: 

Production Leadership & Troubleshooting

Production Planning & Scheduling

Process Efficiency & Continuous Improvement

Health, Safety & Compliance

Staff Development & Communication

Cross Department Coordination

Candidate

• Proven leadership experience in chemical, FMCG, or related manufacturing production.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Production Manager.
• Background in SME / family run manufacturing businesses.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, and organisational skills are essential.
• Hands-on management style with the ability to step in when required.
• Excellent communication and people management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH, and best manufacturing practices.
• A proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
