Software Engineer Cloud Job in Leicestershire
Our client is a global leader in the development of scientific measurement instrumentation for use in environmental, climate and present weather monitoring. Due to continued global growth and demand for their products they are seeking to recruit an experienced Software Developer who is proficient in the development of Cloud applications and technologies.
Working as part of a collaborative team using SCRUM software development methodology you will:
Design and implement software components that fit into the company’s software suite.
Implement internal test code to ensure that the software is reliable and stable.
Document and present designs and deliverables to stakeholders and peers.
Evaluate customer feedback and research options.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a Business discipline.
2+ years of experience in software development, ideally with Cloud based applications.
Demonstrates extensive knowledge and skills relating to coding methods, architectures, practices, and technologies for use in software application development, with the ability to write clean, understandable code that follows best practices and coding standards.
Has a broad Technical knowledge sufficient to communicate with other developers and stakeholders.
Used to working as part of a team with Agile and Scrum software development methods.
Must have excellent communication and organisational skills with attention to detail.
VueJS and similar frameworks.
Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Microsoft Azure (IaC, IaaS and PaaS).
Kubernetes (exposure to EKS / AKS is beneficial).
OpenAPI / Swagger documentation.
Postgres and similar relational database systems.
Familiarity with IoT protocols such as MQTT / CoAP.
Knowledge of security protocols such as RSA / ECC are beneficial.
Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Mocha / Cypress.
Experience with NodeJS.
GitOps development and exposure to GitLab.
Working knowledge of CI / CD processes.
Proficient with VSCode or Visual Studio.
