Precision Engineer in Berkshire
The company is based in Reading and creates men’s and women’s razors as well as other personal care products. The role is within the Blades and Razors upstream research and development facility who are responsible for the early development of wet shaving prototypes. As a toolmaker you will be involved in the prototype development process. You would work closely with designers, engineers and scientists to manufacture or modify components for a wide range of purposes. This includes creating injection mould tools, machining from billet and modifying existing parts.
-manufacturing precision prototype components, tooling and parts for bespoke scientific equipment and instrumentations
-developing and maintaining any associated documentation to ensure legal and quality compliance
-developing and improving machine techniques in conjunction with designers and engineers
-full ownership and autonomy to deliver results from day 1
They are looking for at least 1-3 years of experience. You must be able to use Toolmaking skills and equipment, including CAD/CAM (ideally SolidWorks/HSMWorks), CNC machining (both lathe and mill), manual lathes, grinders and hand finishing techniques. You would need a machine background, ideally in toolmaking.
