Microbiologist in Gloucestershire

North Gloucetershire.  Due to location, Own car required.

To work in the Microbiology Analytical Services (MAS) laboratories with the team testing a variety of foods and associated samples.

A good opportunity for someone wanting to further their career in senior laboratory position.

Training and development opportunities are available for enthusiastic and proficient members of the team to progress their career in the group.

Weekend and Bank Holiday work will be required on a rota basis, normally one in four, either paid as overtime or taken as time off in lieu, therefore own transport is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Main duties and responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

•             Good working knowledge of ISO17025 accredited laboratory environment

•             Microbiological testing of food samples

•             Sample Receipt 

•             Housekeeping duties

•             Equipment maintenance duties

•             Maintaining records

Previous experience in a commercial microbiology lab is essential.
