Environmental Field Sampling Technician

You must have a full clean UK driving licence to do this role

Hours Per Week: 37

Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (plus weekend standby and on call)

Basis: Permanent and Full-time

Location: Midlands

Annual Salary: £19,677.56 plus 2x milestone payments + Additional Benefits (see below)

To undertake environmental monitoring and sampling duties for commercial and key account clients throughout the Midlands.

Full Training will be provided.

The role is based from Coventry and requires a large amount of driving using a temperature controlled refrigerated van to get to and from sampling locations.  Sampling locations vairy from private houses to land fill sites therefore the candidate must be willing to work outdoors in all weathers. Once sampling is completed samples are required to be transported directly to our laboratory at Coventry.

Additionally, we are required to provide weekend on-call cover as part of the contractual agreement with one of our clients and the role would be required to contribute to this via inclusion on a weekend standby rota.

Tasks:

Undertaking sampling of –

Ground waters, surface waters, trade effluent, waste water, potable waters, gas, legionella, air and dust.

Person:

Full Clean UK Driving licence (3 points max)

Already living in or commutable to Coventry

Ability to work unsupervised

Physically fit and to be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions

Good communication skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

To be able to travel within the UK, with potential for occasional stop overs.
