Digital Forensics Analyst in Cheshire

Full Time, 9 month contract role

Salary Negotiable

Standard Hours, Mon – Fri, 37 hours p/w

 

This role entails working with a government agency, based in office and using technical research and audit methods to gather legal evidence found in computers and digital storage media. Carrying out diligent investigations, acquisitions, collections and analysis on mobile devices, laptops, computers, hard drives and storage devices. Undertaking data recovery exorcises. Liaising with clients, project managers and internal management to deliver all projects on time, on budget and to the set requirements as agreed at inception with the client.

 

Candidate

  • Preferably 2-3 years’ experience in digital forensics
  • Proficient in the use of digital forensic tools for computer examinations, such as X-Ways, Nuix and Axiom
  • Proven experience of analysing information from a wide range of sources
  • SC Clearance
  • A good understanding of relevant legislation (UK and international law) affecting Agency activity with a particular emphasis of legislation affecting digital evidence
  • Good knowledge of disclosure/exhibit procedures with a particular emphasis on search and seizure best practice of digital evidence
  • Understanding of ISO 17025 and the Forensic Science Regulator’s Codes of Practice and Conduct
