Position: Customer Service Manager

Salary: Up to £33,000

Hours: 36.25 hours per week, full-time, permanent position

Location: West Bromwich

 

Our client requires a Customer Service Manager.  The successful candidate will lead and manage the Customer Service department and must have extensive experience in customer account management.  You will work closely with the Sales and Marketing Team.  This is a senior position, and you will be part of the Senior Management Team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Customer service management
  • Shipping export role with dangerous goods
  • Customer account management
  • Monitoring customer order fulfilment and feedback to customers
  • Champion improving efficiencies with the department
  • Work alongside the Senior Management Team, sharing input into all aspects of the business

Candidate Requirements:

  • Educated to A-Level (or higher) or equivalent in a Business-related discipline
  • 5 years+ experience in Customer Service Management in a similar manufacturing company
  • Experience in shipping export with dangerous goods
  • IATA and IMDG certification
  • Proficient with Microsoft software and the ability to manipulate Excel
  • Thorough understanding of the exportation of goods across borders, duty and incoterms
  • Negotiation skills
  • Be able to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent communication skills

 

Knowledge of Sage x3 would be an advantage, but not essential
