Customer Service Coordinator Job in West Midlands

Position: Customer Service Coordinator

Salary: Up to £24,000 depending on experience

Hours: 36.25 hours per week, full-time, permanent position

Location: West Bromwich

 

Our client requires a Customer Service Coordinator.  The successful candidate will work in the Customer Service department as a full-time coordinator dealing with customer’s orders, reviewing contracts, and providing all export documentation.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinating customer’s orders, providing a high-level of Customer Service
  • Reviewing contracts and order entry
  • Preparation of shipping documentation, dealing with global customers
  • Making bookings with freight forwarders, producing all export documentation and certificates
  • Bank presentations and letter of credit
  • Preparing and issuing quotations and working out prices
  • Attending meetings with the production team
  • General administration and ad hoc duties

Candidate Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE standard with a good level of Maths and English as a minimum
  • 2 years+ experience in the Export and shipping industry
  • IT literate
  • Experience in a Customer Service-related role
  • Hands on, commercially aware
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Confident communicator

 

A qualification in the shipment of Dangerous Goods would be an advantage.

Knowledge of IMDG, ADR and IATA would be useful.
