Chemistry Laboratory Technician

Location - Ashby de la Zouch

Salary - £17,000 - £19,000

Permanent, Full-time

We are looking for an enthusiastic Chemist to join a reputable company who manufactures lubricants, adhesives, and coatings for the electronic industry. They are looking for a laboratory technician to join one of their chemistry teams – the role will mostly involve formulations and testing of new products in the R&D department.

The ideal candidate would be a recent chemistry graduate, or preferably someone with a little bit of lab experience.

Must have own car, or live locally to access site.

Skills:

Qualified to ‘A’ level or post ‘A’level standard in Maths and Chemistry

Ability to set priorities to solve problems.

Previous laboratory experience

IT literate and competent with Microsoft Excel and Word

Practical approach to work

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Highly organised and methodical

Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative

Ability to work as part of a team

Ability to work to deadlines
