Assay Development Technician – ELISA
Our client is a leading designer and manufacturer of fully automated ELISA microplate workstations, laboratory instruments and associated consumables and accessories. They are seeking an Assay Development Technician to join their team to work on the development of ELISA and other solid phase immunoassays based on the company’s patented bead technology.
Hands on preparation, manufacture and testing of assay reagents including coated beads, calibrators & controls, conjugates, buffers and QC samples.
Design and run Multiplier Assays; collect, analyse and present relevant data.
Testing, which will involve running assays on the company’s platforms and using manual ELISA equipment.
Optimizing and validation of the assay components to work in a multiplex format on an R&D scale, then manufacture production scale kits for prototype phase and generate prototype assay performance data.
Participate in the regular maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Follow the requirements of the ISO13485 FDA quality system at all times.
Degree or MSc in Biology, Biochemistry or other relevant Life Science subject.
1-2 years of relevant laboratory experience. This could be from a placement year during university.
Knowledge and experience of using ELISA and other Immunoassays.
Knowledge of QC procedures and FDA / ISO13485 would be an advantage but is not essential.
Excellent communication skills.
Well organised and maintains high standard of record keeping.
