Asbestos Analyst – Air Monitoring

£27k+ depending on experience

Our client is an independent Asbestos Consultancy offering a full range of services including Surveys, Testing, Analysis and Removals.

They are now recruiting for an experienced Asbestos Analyst to carry out Measurement of Airborne Fibre Concentrations including 4 Stage Clearances in a variety of commercial properties.

Candidate:  

S301 Asbestos and Other Fibres; or

P402 Surveying & Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings, and

P403 Air Sampling & Fibre Counting, and

P404 Clearance Testing & Requirements of a Certificate of Reoccupation.

A degree in a science subject such as Environmental Science or Chemistry would be desirable but is not essential.

Experience in the Measurement of Airborne Fibre Concentration of Asbestos and Other Fibres in accordance with HSE document HSG248 including static monitoring, personal exposure monitoring & 4 Stage Clearance is essential.

Full UK Driving Licence essential.

The following experience would be an advantage:

Technical report writing and delivery.

Good team player.

Excellent communicator (written and verbal) and be IT literate.

Positive attitude, be well-organised and self-motivated.

Fit to carry out on-site testing and carry equipment as needed.

There will be a requirement for some weekend and very infrequent night work dependant on client’s needs.

A company vehicle will be available for use for work purposes.
