Analytical Chemist – Pesticide Residues
Our client is a leading contract research organisation for the agrochemical and life science sectors offering a range of laboratory and regulatory services to support product registration. Due to continued growth and expansion they are now seeking a qualified and experienced Analytical Chemist to work in their Pesticide Residues team.
In this role you will support the study director on a range of analytical studies including residue analysis, physical chemistry, analytical method development, method validation and ecotoxicology studies. You may also train, mentor, develop and manage junior technical staff to perform varying tasks on these studies.
Degree or higher in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline.
A minimum of two years’ experience conducting GLP compliant studies for regulatory residue chemistry or analytical studies (or similar, in a closely related field).
Able to plan and conduct study tasks to a high standard, within expected time and budget.
Strong hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as LC-MS/MS, GC/MS and with a variety of extraction methodologies required for extracting low level analytes from a variety of matrices.
A recently qualified MSc or PhD level candidate displaying thorough knowledge of relevant analytical methods, techniques and laboratory procedures may also be considered.
