Analytical Chemist – GLP Study Director
Our client is a leading commercial research organisation offering a range of contract services to the agrochemical and other sectors. Due to continued expansion they are seeking a qualified and experienced Analytical Chemist to join their busy team.
The role involves development & validation of analytical methods and analysis of active ingredients used in pesticide formulations including conducting 5-batch analyses for GLP studies. Your time will be split between practical laboratory work, project management & interaction with clients.
BSc, MSc or PhD in Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline.
At least 7 years practical experience in Analytical Chemistry using automated chromatographic techniques such as HPLC, GC, GC-MS and LC-MS.
Expertise in the use of LC-MS / GC-MS for complex 5-batch analyses, ideally gained from at least 5 years practical experience.
Experience of working as a Study Director within a GLP compliant environment.
Experience in developing analytical methods (e.g. HPLC / GC) for the quantification of main analytes & low level impurities.
Knowledge of method validation procedures, with the ability to interpret & report statistical data.
Good team working skills.
Ability to work under pressure, delivering quality work within agreed time & resource utilisation targets.
Project Management experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide customers with written & verbal updates on potential & ongoing projects with convincing scientific comments & conclusions.
