Materials Planner / Planning Team Leader in Leicestershire

Our client is a leading global technology company. They are seeking two planning professionals to join their healthcare business based in Leicestershire. The roles involve managing the resources and materials planning for packaging of pharmaceutical products, specifically cartons, leaflets and inserts.

Planner - £30-35k

Ensures effective planning of materials and resources to support the packaging of pharmaceutical products.

Production of schedules for Packing Lines.

Purchasing of materials to support the schedule.

Participation in continuous improvement activities.

Participation in the Sales and Operations Planning process.

Initiate contact with external suppliers when required, and manage day to day interaction with both internal and external contacts.

Balance the demand of customers versus production capability.

Planning Team Leader - £36-40k

Managing a team of 3 planners, a key position ensuring the team delivers effective planning of materials and resources to support the packaging pharmaceutical products.

Leadership of the Packaging Planning team.

Oversee the production of schedules and purchasing of materials.

Leadership of continuous improvement activities.

Leadership of the Sales and Operations Planning process.

Manage day to day interaction with both internal and external contacts.

Candidates

Experience of Supply Chain Planning within a manufacturing environment is essential.

Experience of Supply Chain Planning using SAP is preferred but not essential.

Computer literate in Microsoft Office.

Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) principles.

Knowledge of Sales and Operations Planning principles.

Excellent organisational skills, and attention to detail.

Good time management and ability to work to tight deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, and confidence to communicate effectively with people both internally and externally.

Team Leader

Previous supervisory experience, ideally in a planning role.

Have the ability to create a vision for the area and team in line with value stream and site strategy.
