Formulation Project Manager in Durham

Formulation Project Manager

Experienced Technical Project Manager with a background in Formulation required to join a leading organisation that works with industry partners to develop new processes in the chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and oil & gas sectors. You will have a science or engineering background with proven project management skills and experience, and be able to deliver a range of technical projects for a variety of stakeholders in the commercial and public sectors.

The Projects within Formulation encompass a broad range of process technologies and novel measurement techniques, as well as sectors within the formulation industry, and this is reflected in the diversity of customers and their expertise. It is necessary for the job holder to be knowledgeable across this broad range of technologies in order to engage with the customers at the correct level and to develop strong business relationships.    

Candidate:

Degree in Science or Engineering, ideally with further qualifications in Business or Project Management such as MBA or PRINCE2.

Strong background in Chemistry with an understanding of Formulation and Process Chemistry, Process Scale-up and measurement science.

Proven track record of successfully controlling and delivering multiple technical projects of varying disciplines.

Financially adept and be able to manage and mitigate risk.

Competent with IT, particularly MS Office.

A pro-active, can-do attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, partners and customers.

Exceptional communication skills.

Experience of successful delivery of public funded projects would be an advantage.
