Development Chemist or Graduate in Staffordshire

Role:

To contribute to the overall development of the business through formulating and developing innovative new products, improving existing formulations, providing both internal and external technical support.

 

Role:

To deliver clearly defined development projects within agreed timescales.

To provide project led technical support to improve manufacturing processes and scale up new formulations.

To develop strategic partnerships, focussed on technical development, with key raw material suppliers.

To continually acquire and transfer knowledge with regard to novel polymers and chemicals, technologies and testing methods.

To identify and explore potential new product or market opportunities.

To provide project led technical support to customers by means of visits, the provision of testing, technical presentations and product literature.

To continually develop to meet identified skill and competence requirements, through appropriate on the job and external training.

To write technical reports.

To maintain formulation and costing databases.

 

Person:

 

A minimum of a  degree in Chemistry or related subject. Experience in formulating adhesives and sealant products or similar products would be preferable. The job holder will be a self-starter, able to work on own initiative. The job holder must be flexible, able to plan and organise the workload to meet deadlines and hit targets. The job holder must be confident and comfortable in interacting with staff at all levels. The role requires IT skills.   Recent Graduates Considered.
