Commercial Manager – Pharmacy Specials

Our client is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of dietary supplements and licensed and unlicensed medication, including Pharmacy Specials.

They have a requirement for an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee and manage the Specials department.

In this role you will be responsible for managing all of the company’s Specials primary care, secondary care and wholesale accounts, monitoring the work load of the team and analysing monthly sales data. The position also involves sourcing new suppliers and products globally, negotiating customer terms, planning sales strategy, acting as Responsible Person and upholding GDP for the Specials Department.


Graduate in science, pharmacy or related, or a background in Business Administration.

At least 3-5 years of experience working in the Unlicenced Pharmaceutical / Pharmacy Specials sector in a sales or account management role.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to present and speak to customers confidently.

Strong commercial track record and ability to grow current market share in addition to developing new markets.

Highly customer focused and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

Competitive and results driven with the ability to influence others at the highest level.

Full UK driving license.

Understanding of GDP – Good Distribution Practice would be an advantage.

Experience of a product launch into the NHS would be desirable, but is not essential.

Note: This is an office based role with occasional travel to customer sites required.
