Applications Scientist in East Yorkshire

Responsibilities:

Analyse and review results and seek answers to problems encountered through collection of data and investigation. 

Provide a technical support service to other departments as well as external customers.

Be able to supervise/demonstrate to less experienced staff/students.

Suggest most viable development routes for both straightforward and complex projects.

Develop new test methods and formulate new products.

Run multiple projects at one time.

 

Qualifications and Experience

A degree in a relevant scientific discipline as well as some knowledge/experience of working in the lubricants industry.

A good experimentalist with the ability to design and carry out laboratory experiments and hold the capacity to progress experimental development along stages each project.

An effective team player.

Strong interpersonal skills to build good working relationships within the local team and other teams around the world.

Possess excellent report writing skills.

You will have demonstrable experience of using technical knowledge and understanding to solve complex scientific problems.
